Dear Marla, I continue to visualize your healing process. Perhaps, I can share this thought with you and your family- see the inaction in action and the action in inaction. May your inner strength provide what is necessary for you to become strong physically once again. I pray for these words to materialize and comfort you. Love, Annig You have much music in your heart. Hi Marla, This message is from the Andrews-Weber family in Steamboat. We have known you all your life and you, your parents and Mark are in our daily prayers. Thanks to your wonderful brother, Mark, for establishing the website where we can see you photos and read about your progress. We know you all have had some very trying times but that your spirits will remain high in hopes of a successful recovery. You are such a positive, optimistic young lady, Marla. Your past accomplishments in sports, academics, music, education as well as your great love for children and of course, love for your family and friends, are all assets on which you can continue to build and grow. We will cheer you on like we did when you came to the swim meets in Steamboat!! Some of us, at least Linda and maybe one of the Weber brothers, hope to be at the benefit in Glenwood on March 7th. We know you won't be there in person, but you certainly will be there in love and spirit. We think of you often and you and your family remain always in our thoughts and prayers. With Love and Wishes for your continued recovery, Marla.....George Weber, Linda Andrews, Geol, Randy, Espen and Teddy Weber

Hi Marla, I wanted to let you know that I am praying for you. There are so many people that are with you in spirit at this time. Lyndsay gave me a call and said she was so glad that she was able to see you. I met you in Boulder several years ago, and you would probably remember me with the other Kim as well. Big Kim and little Kim. Marla, know that we are thinking of you. I send you many positive thoughts and hugs. God Bless Kim

Hi Marla, Mary, Mark, and Leo, Just wanted to say hello to all of you. What a wonderful site you have set up!!! I am so glad to hear things are improving inch by inch. Kinda like hand quilting - right Mary? It takes time and you invest yourself each stitch along the way with love and dedication. And what a beautiful project! Speaking of projects, can you believe I finished a throw quilt for the silent auction! (I always did work best under deadlines - remember, Leo) So I am looking forward to seeing some of you that evening. Thanks again for providing this web site to keep in touch. Best wishes to all of you. Monty Rhodes

Miss Marla, It was so great to see you last week, living up here in Steamboat makes me really feel removed from all that is going on with you. I am so glad to have a way to talk with you and your family and find out all that is going on. (Mark, thanks so much for doing this... what a great idea!) It is (and has been) snowing here for many days now... I know that you would love it here and think of you often, while teaching and outside of school. Today was Day 1 of the CSAPs for my third graders and... what a day it was! What a lovely way to ruin an otherwise beautifully snowy winter wonderland! Anyway, I read this poem today and it made me think of you. Here it is: Teach me to walk, and I will run Teahc me to look and I shall see Teach me to hear and I shall listen Teach me to sing and I shall rejoice For your instructions are inprinted in my mind And your shared experiences I shall keep What I have learned, I shall treasure And my learning to fly I shall soar! As I am sure you can see, it made me think of you in so many ways! You are with me in my teaching every day- you are still touching lives everywhere! Shelby would be proud! Love you- Karen

Dear Mary and Leo, We've finally got our calendars up to date, and would like to have you come for dinner, so give us a call and hopefully we can find a time. Is there anything specifically that Marla is responding to? Stuffed animals? Scents? Flowers? We would like to bring her something next time we come see her, if there is something. We'll be anxious to hear about the fundraiser in Glenwood. When you know whatfinances are needed, maybe we could do a fundraiser here. So many people are asking about her and praying for her and for you. Keep us posted. Please give her a hug from us, and hug each other. You are truly amazing people. Love, Karen

You should be really proud of the work you did. This site is terrific. My friend Ryan Sauls wrote a note on this site and he was the one I told you about who's 2 year old son beat cancer. He asks me every time I talk to him about Marla. Just think if the website was part of what help Jake kick cancer, maybe it could do the same for Mars. Give everyone my best. I think of you every day. Much Love, Lynz

Hi Marla - Mark has really worked hard on your web site and it looks really good. He put a picture of you and Rio at the start page, it is a great picture. Mark and your mom say you just don't like that pureed turkey. I can't imagine why!! They only thing I liked pureed is either peaches or apricots. I love those things. We celebrated Mark's birthday last week. He loves to scare me when I walk in the door at work. He hides on the stairs and jumps out when I open the door. So I had to get him back. We had this huge box that an office chair came in so I hid in that and jumped out when he came around the corner. It was totally great. He said that he deserved that! It totally made my week. I hope you have a good week. Melody

Hey Marla, just thinkin' about ya! I got an e-mail today from Ana Laura Galvez, Megan Salazar, Alyssa Wright, and Angela Ramos -- some of the cute little girls we had at Malley. They asked about you and wanted me to say hello to you. We have parent-teacher conferences next week, and CSAP the week after. Fun fun! "Stevie Marshmallow"(you're the only one who gets away with calling him that) says hi! He's been working so hard, but it's paying off! He made his number last year, and we're going to Los Cabos in April. Woohoo! Anyway, you keep gettin' better, and I'll see you soon! Love you. M

Dear Marla, Mark, Leo, and Mary, It has been so long since I have seen you all. I am so glad to hear that you are improving so much Marla. You all are in my thoughts and in my prayers. I think back on the days of the Sopris Baracudas when I think you Marla and Mark. Marla you made such a great assistant coach it doen't surprise me at all that you are a much loved teacher. Your dedication, FAITH, and strength will carry you through this trying time. An update on me, I am happily married for almost three years now to a wonderful man, Rick. I will be three years in June, I can't believe how fast time flies. I am now working as a security officer at Skyline High School in Mesa Arizona. I love working with the students and the challenges they throw in my path. I graduated in November from college with a Massage Therapy degree, and have a small but growing practice in the evenings and on weekends. I think a lot though about going back to school and studing education. I love working with the kids so much I think that I might love the classroom too. My sister Brenda is now in China on a Mission. When she returns in June she will finish her degree in education at DU. She recieved a bacholors degree in Fine Arts and a Minor in sociology last June from DU. Jason (our younger brother) will be getting married this summer (in July). Mom and Dad (Michelle and Dennis) are keeping busy (and STRESSED-OUT) at Elmer Glass. I want to thank you for setting up this web page so that all of us who care so much can watch your progress and see our prayers as they are answered with each new accomplishment. Keep up the hard work, strength, courage, and keep the FAITH. We are all praying for your continued progress and recovery. Love-Jennifer
