Hi Shmars! What a fun visit we had with you! You sure did put a smile on our faces! We really needed it, as it has been a very tough week for us. We had a wonderful time in Colorado, but got a call just before we left that Mike's Godfather who we were going to visit with on Thursday passed away on Wednesday. In addition to that, my friend Emmie, also a friend from Boulder passed away from lung cancer. Whilst in Colorado, we also got a call that our friend Dave was killed in a car accident. Add to that our furnace broke last night and it's been a little bit rough. We realize that it is just life and the highs are really high and the lows are really low. Helps you put things in perspective, though. We keep thinking back to all the jokes you made and how we all laughed together. It was so wonderful to be able to spend so much time together and also see how much progress you have made. I have been sharing your A+ report card with my whole family and they are thrilled. Mike has been giving his drawing that he owes you some thought, but he isn't sure of the subject just yet. I will stay on him, though. Anyway, thank you again for welcoming us into your home. It was terrific spending time with your parents. Please give Mark our love as well. I'll drop you a line again soon.... Keep up the good work, Shmars.... We are so proud of you! xoxo Lynz and Mike

Hi Marla, This last week has been rather "smelly".... a skunk decided to crawl in under our neighbors house.PHEW!!! Tuesday when Marty and I got home from work we could really smell it. Then the next morning I was putting something outside before it was light and the sensor light went on and a black furry animal ran under our neighbors house, but he didn't know his tail was still sticking out and it was way too furry and big to have been a cat. Then that night we had our bedroom window open and I woke up in the night and it smelled like the skunk was right outside our window. The next day it rained and has been raining off and on for the last few days... so I hope PePe LaPhew has taken up residence someplace else.... ??? Maybe it's too muddy for it to stay under her house.... Hope Hope. I just looked at the pictures Mark put on your website... Looking good... Hope you have a good week. Love you, Aunt Margaret

Hi Marla! I just read Mark's update, and wanted to drop you a line, I know how much you like to see a new message! The kids have just loved having you in over the past few weeks. It's been as good for them as it has been for you. Now on Tuesdays they always ask, "Is Ms. Gettman coming to help today?" I know that Lyndsay and her husband were coming this week to visit, so I hope you had a great visit with them! I'll see you on Sunday for stamping! Love you! MM

Hi! Marla It was good to be with you during the holidays. We just received a cyberspace note from Ariella. She is in the Urkraine and then to Maldovia. Her mission is to interview potential students, who wish to come to the States to be educated. It is already the middle of February. I am busy teaching and giving workshops in Yoga. At the piano, I find I am focusing more on duets and trios. They are fun to teach and do. Well,I should say,if they are fun to hear. Do you remember playing duets? So glad to read about your constant improvement. Do try playing with Mark at the piano. You will be surprised. My best to you and your family, XO Annig

Dear Marla, Hi! I have a letter just about ready to mail to you, but I decided to drop an e-mail to say "Hi," while I'm up in the loft using the computer at Pam and Tracy's house. I've been reading your updates and looking at your photos. Yesterday was the first time I've had computer access since I began my long moving-process back in September. It's been wonderful to see all the photos which I hadn't seen, and to look again at the ones I have seen. I've been staying at Pam and Tracy's house this weekend, with their boys, Ryan (13 yrs.) and Morgan (5 yrs.) while Pam and Tracy have gone to Tucson, Arizona, for a "sweethearts' weekend away." They've been "best buddies" since they were sixteen years old, and have been married nearly 19 years. I hope they've had a really fun weekend. I'm having a great time with the kids! It's fun to live just across the wooded area from them. We walk back and forth to each other's houses. I'm starting to get a little bit unpacked. My washer/dryer were delivered this past week. My new bed was supposed to be delivered Friday, but there was too much snow, so it'll come on Tuesday. I got this huge king-size bed -- room for my long legs and LOTS OF KITTIES. Meanwhile, I'm sleeping at Pam and Tracy's or on my couch at home. I'll get your letter mailed tomorrow. I'm really enjoying being in Silver City, but I still plan to get back to Denver before too long, to see friends. I wasn't able to come to the Feb. 7 wedding which I'd planned to attend, in Denver, because we had a snowstorm here and I couldn't get away in time. I miss you, especially since I've been thinking all along that I was going to get to see you soon -- and then every time something has come up that I haven't had the time in Denver which I thought I was going to have. LOVE YOU LOTS, Sylvia
