Hey Marla, Hope all is well and that you're staying cool! It has been RIDICULOUSLY HOT down here in Thornton! I think we're finally going to cool off today. It was so good to see you in Ouray on the 4th! We had a great time up there that weekend! Riley is getting so big! He just started solid foods this week, he LOVES applesauce! His personality is really blossoming, and he's a funny, silly little man! I want to order your markers, but I don't know which ones you still need, could you please let me know so I can get them to you? Thanks! Have you moved yet? We're hoping to move soon too! Our townhouse has been on the market for 2 weeks now, and we've already had several showings, so hopefully it will happen soon! It sure would be nice to move before school starts up again, but I kind of doubt that will happen. Keep your fingers crossed for us! Talk to you soon! Love, Missy
Hi Marla, I've been catching up on your website and am just amazed at all that you're up to. I love to see that you’re gaining some of you independence back. How nice to go for bike rides and visit with your friends. I bet you're so happy to have the stitch removed from your eye. Last time we spent time together, you mentioned how much you didn't like it. Glad to hear Puck is doing better. Our kitty Benny is always up to something too. He caught his first bird the other day and kindly brought it inside to share with us. Then he dropped it and began to hiss at it. David tried to save the bird, but I’m petty sure he didn’t make it. I’d love to hear from you, I don’t have your new phone number. If we happen to make it your way over the summer I’d like to stop by, so give me a jingle and let me know how to get in touch with you. Much love, Heather and David Schutt
Hi Marla - I'm sorry to hear about the spam that has disabled the messages section. I am thrilled, though, to read about all o fyour progress, updates, and news. It's great to hear how well you are doing. I hope camp is going well, and enjoy the new bike! Love, Sam
Hi Marla - Thank you so much for helping me babysit Jeremy and Emily last weekend. Having you there was a huge help...it's hard to keep up with both of the kiddos at once! The best part, however, was getting to catch up with you and hear about what's new with you and your family. I'm so glad that you continue to make such huge strides in your recovery...clearly your hard work is paying off big time! Good luck with your upcoming move. Hope to see you again soon!
Marla, Hi again! It's been so long (about a half a year) since I emailed you last that I'm not sure that you will remember us meeting. My mother is the sister of Teresa Bagshaw, a friend of your mother's. My name is Kevin Pettit and I have seen you at Craig Hospital (where I volunteer as "Lay Minister") and also at the last Colorado Brain Injury Association meeting in Vail in September or October. How are things going for you? I'm sorry that I have forgotten to email you. I hope things are going well for you in Grand Junction. I thought that you might be interested in learning about an event in Denver in the second half of July. The drama group PHAMALy (www.phamaly.org) is going to produce the musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" and I have a small role in the musical. PHAMALy is a performing arts group that is made up entirely of actors who are disabled. The name PHAMALy stands for Physically Handicapped Amature Musical Actors League. The shows that it puts on are held at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts -- a big group of several stages. Shows by PHAMALy have been very well received. I think that you would like viewing the show "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" as PHAMALy will play it. The musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" is a very enjoyable musical about the biblical character of Joseph, son of Jacob. One theme in the musical is the acceptance of Joseph and his special gifts by his brothers. The PHAMALy production of the show will shift the focus slightly to include the acceptance of those who are differently-abled. Of the actors that I've meet there, four of us were patients at Craig Hospital! I don't know if you were a patient at Craig when they were too. There names are Jason Dorwart, Regan Linton, Ed Reinhardt, and me. Because of our Craig connection, I thought of you. I thought that you might enjoy seeing the show. If you're interested you could take a look at the website www.phamaly.org. This would help give you a sense of what PHAMALy is and the webpage also contains a link to a place you can purchase tickets from www.denvercenter.org. I hope that you can come see it!

HI Marla, You look great on your new bike. How wonderful that you are able to ride it and go all over! It sounds like you and your parents are getting ready for a big move to your new home. Mary and Leo, I wish you well in your new home. It sounds like a great move for all of you, although leaving your Glenwood home must be hard, on some level. I continue to enjoy the wonderful news Mark always writes abut Marla and the Williams family. Take care and happy summer. Linda

Hi, Marla - I just stopped by your website tonight to look at pictures. I've seen them before, but when I look at them I feel that I've had a bit of a visit with you! You are looking SO good! My new cat, Rosemary, the one I sent you the card about, is doing so well. She's such a wonderfully responsive girl who just loves to have her head petted and her chin scratched, and she really enjoys conversation. The shelter thinks that a person injured her, and I think it's amazing that she can still be so responsive and so eager for human contact. She drags her right arm and paw; they just seem limp. But she is a big-time climber, always up on things and back down again. I wish you could see her; I think you'd love her, too. I think of you daily. My love to you, Sylvia

Marla, Hi there! It’s been quite a while. I check your website frequently and it’s always great to see how well you are doing. You show great strength and determination. I find myself thinking of you often when I watch re-runs of Friends and remember all the times we watched them together eating Taco Bell. Things are going great for me and the family; we all think and talk about you often. I have moved to Denver and am (hopefully) working on my last year of college. You helped me out a lot that first year in Boulder; I appreciate everything you did for me. Marla, you always were a special part of our family, we miss you dearly. Take care of yourself; I look forward to reading more about you conquering your challenges. Many thoughts and prayers, Lexi
