Marla, Mark, Mary and Uncle Bang, Thank you very much for the candle and note pads. I always need to write things down and note pads are great! The beaded candy canes you made, Marla looked great on our Christmas tree. Thank you very much. I will be in Glenwood working this Friday 1/2/04, and at the very least, I will call you on my cell phone. It's so good to have you guys back in the neighborhood. I hope you enjoy being home. Love, Alison

Marla!! How the heck are you? I just spent some time reading through your webpage, which mom told me about just yesterday. All is well here--Dave and I are just plugging along. We live in Fort Collins and I am working at a software development company in Greeley. He is going to school full time at CSU pursuing History--although he has recently accepted a job offer with Edward Jones. He will start June 14th--since he graduates June 11th. We have been married 2 1/2 years now--can you believe it?? No kids yet--not for a while until we get settled upon his graduation and re-entry into the work world. We were just looking at some wedding pictures yesterday because my inlaws were in town--you had your new stylish glasses on (not the ones that I used to make fun of you for wearing!) I guess we do have one baby--our lab, Autumn. I think you met her once?? She is about 2 now. She and Rio play together and it is so funny how grumpy he is with her--they have a love hate relationship, as do Randy and Autumn! :) Do you have an email address so I can send you some digital photos? Take care and hang in there!! Love ya, David and Farrah Dobbins

Blessings to all the Williams family. Marla, thank you so much for sharing your "near death" experience. The boys were in awe when they saw your picture and read about your "visit" with Jesus. He certainly has some special plans for you for the years to come and we thank him and you for letting us just get a glimpse of the peace, love, and pure joy you must have felt and will continue to be blessed with for the rest of your life. You must wake up every day and wonder what Jesus has in store for you today, not only physically but spiritually. Well, the miracle of God's love certainly surrounds you and we are thrilled as to your physical progress. We know it can't be all that easy-you are truly admired by many and whether you know it or not, you are already spreading God's love by having the courage to share your experiences with all of us. You are awesome. The Hansens.(Gary, Pat, Andy, Jesse, Adam)

Dear Marla, We want you to know that you have been in our thoughts and prayers all these many months. We enjoyed your parent's letter at Christmas updating us on your progress. Happy to hear that you are progressing nicely, and happy to get your home page address so we can check in on you from time to time. We will be contacting your folks and try to arrange a meeting with them and you. Love and Prayers, Gary & Bev

Hi Marla- We've never met but we have a few things in common [TBI,Craig,Rehab,Recovery] My girl friend [Marylou Doak] and I just got back from a Christmas trip and I read your Mom's card and her letter and I just had to write [which I normally wouldn't do. EVERYTHING takes ALOT longer now] The Website about you is really quite impressive and the photos or you in various stages of your "recovery" is great to be able to see. I kmow EXACTLY where your pictures at Craig are taken. I don't think the therapists were there when I was but, I am very thankful that there are people like them. They had to "re-teach" me EVERYTHING. Walk,Talk, eat, write[with the other hand]I had a severe stroke, various surgeries and months of rehab at Craig.and at home. And my recovery continues toaday. I know firsthand what you have gone through and what you continue to go through. To be honest with you.... It really sucks sometimes but I try to remember "things could always be worse" EVERTHING gets better!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really does. It takes time, sometimes ALOT of time but, THINGS WILL GET BETTER. How long ago was your "accident"?My stroke was almost 7 years ago when I was 36.I know for certain; faith, positive attitude and physical rehab. all help very much. Help from friends and relatives also has helped me and it sounds as though you have ALOT of friends and loved ones that help you to. That is really important and I want to thank all of those that help you too.Thankyou. I know it is just as hard on the loved ones and friends of people with TBI's. Please, if you are able to; you or your mom send me an E-mail. I wish you continued recovery and positive "vibes"

Hi Marla, I was just thinking about you and thought I would write. I know you are in Glenwood getting ready for the holidays. I sure enjoyed your visit to Glacier Peak a few weeks ago. I am trying to get things in place for our Christmas. We have friend visiting from England tomorrow. They have 3 children who have never been to America before. Then, after Christmas we are going to Florida where my little sister is getting married. She is 39 and has never been married before. I am so happy for her. I have heard that the man she is going to marry is wonderful. I have never met him before. I will try to write you from Florida and let you know how it is going. Please write me back if you have time and let me know how your time has been in Glenwood. Tell your mom and dad I said, 'HELLO'. I miss you. Love ya! Ginger

Hi Marla, I am a friend of your aunt Marty...I got smart and retired shortly after she did this year. I visited with your grandparents at least one time before they moved from Ouray...my husband Richard and I spent a week-end there with the Bauers over the fourth of July...we just love your grandparents too! I even met your Daddy in the united parking lot at Stapleton...for some reason he was there with your aunt Marty. Funny the things you remember. That surely was a long time ago! I was so sorry to hear about your accident, and boy have I been slow letting you know that. We have been praying for you at our church tho, and I am so happy to see the wonderful progress you've made...I am sure you are an inspiration to so many. It can't be easy but you are one courageous young lady. God bless you, Caroline Tilley

Hi Marla! Thought about you a lot this weekend! What a survivor you are! We had a pretty nice weekend -- we had our Marsh family Christmas exchange yesterday. Since we're going to Oklahoma, we decided to exchange gifts here so we don't have to lug everything out there! Little Mr. Owen was spoiled rotten! Looking forward to seeing you this weekend. I hope the weather holds up!! XO, Missy

Hi Marla! It was good to hear your voice last night! Sounds like you've been busy busy busy! That's good! It's been busy down here, with the holidays coming up. Lots of shopping and EATING! This year Glacier Peak's Giving Tree is Teddy Bears. We're giving them to the kids who live at Warren Village, which is a community to help single-parent families get back on their feet. The kids have been bringing in all these adorable teddy bears to decorate the tree -- it looks amazing! SO cute. Well, back to the kiddos. See you on the 20th! Can't wait to check out Glenwood! Love, Missy

Marla, I have been meaning to stop by your site for a long time. We were all so happy that you stopped by Archiver's for the Make-N-Take weekend! Your presence put us all in such a good mood and we were so inspired by how much progress you have made. You truly are often in our thoughts, especially around this time of year, and there isn't a day that goes by where I don't enter the store - hoping to see you there. Kelly, Jessica, Heather and I were planning on visiting you before the holidays - but it is nice to hear that you will be spending the holidays in Glenwood with the family. When you return, we will have to have our own Christmas Celebration together. May you and your family have the happiest of holidays! We all love you! Chrissy and your Archiver's family

Hi Marla and Family! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Marla, did you help cook? Steve and I went up to Ft. Lewis, WA to visit my family. My grandma Soriano, Aunt Blez, Uncle Ed, Cousins David and Denise, Cousin in Law Steve, and their 14 month old baby, Miles were all there, so it was a full house! We ate way too much (TWO Thanksgiving dinners!), and worked our way through a lot of wine! Steve and the guys went salmon fishing and had a blast. We also got to drive a Stryker, which is the Army's newest armored vehicle -- kind of like a tank on wheels. It was so cool, you drive it just like a car! We'll have to show you the pictures when we see you! It was a great weekend, but it's nice to be home, too! Anyway, I will try to give you a call soon, although I bet all your friends up in Glenwood are keeping you busy! Love you! MM
